FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CAMBRIDGE—Barbara Lee, founder and president of the Barbara Lee Political Office and a national expert on engaging women in politics, today proudly endorsed Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley for Governor.
“Martha Coakley is a proven leader and will be a very effective governor,” said Lee, who has supported Coakley since she was Middlesex District Attorney and encouraged Coakley to run for governor.
“Martha Coakley has a potent combination of qualifications and likeability. She cares deeply about people, and she gets results. She has the compassion and devotion to public service that Massachusetts voters deserve,” Lee said. “People know she has a strong record of protecting children, fighting for families, focusing on jobs, and leading the charge for equality.”
“Martha Coakley is the best candidate to lead our state, and I am thrilled to support her,” Lee said. “She has everything it takes to be elected the first woman Governor of Massachusetts.”
