FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CAMBRIDGE—Barbara Lee, founder and president of the Barbara Lee Political Office and a national expert on engaging women in politics, proudly endorsed Charlotte Golar Richie in her bid for Boston Mayor. Golar Richie is the only woman in a field of 12 candidates and will be the city’s first African American and woman mayor.
“Charlotte Golar Richie is a unique voice in the race for Boston Mayor. She has the vision and experience to propel Boston forward,” said Lee, an early and ardent Golar Richie supporter. “She is a proven, qualified leader, and she will bring her results-driven, in-touch sensibility to the role of Mayor.”
“Charlotte Golar Richie has what it takes to push through the preliminary,” Lee said, “and her strategic and hard-working ground game can push her over the finish line.”
“She will be a Mayor who makes history, not only because she’d be the first woman and African American to hold the office. She will make history because she will change this city for the better. She’s proven she can do it.”
Charlotte Golar Richie’s record of results is clear:
“There is no candidate in this race more qualified, likeable, and relatable than Charlotte Golar Richie, and I am thrilled to support her,” Lee said.
